The Celestion Copperback speaker impulse response offers pure Celestion tone without the cone break-up or growl associated with many of our iconic speakers.
Providing tight lows, neutral low-mids, defined upper-mids and well-controlled high treble, this IR is for those who want more transparency and less mid-range vocal intensity. The Copperback delivers tone that shifts from shimmering tubular-bell-like cleans to flute-like high gain with the tweak of the amplifier’s drive setting.
The Copperback collection includes five different cabinet configurations:
- 1×12 (open back)
- 1×12 (closed back)
- 2×12 (open back)
- 2×12 (closed back)
- 4×12 (closed back)
Each of these five speaker cabinets has been meticulously recorded using three pro-quality studio microphones – a Shure SM57, a Royer R-121 ribbon mic and a Sennheiser MD421 – each in six different positions (plus a rear mic for the open back cabs) called Balanced, Bright, Fat, Thin, Dark and Dark 2. A Neumann TLM107 room mic was also used to provide additional mic mixes to give the user an impressive range of tonal options.
All our impulse response files are downloaded in in .WAV format – compatible with most DAWs, IR plugins and amp modelling software.
