LA-based multi-instrumentalist and songwriter, Britt Bowman has been playing the guitar since the age of 10. Her love of everything from jazz to punk has seen her tour with Grammy award-winning bands such as Green Day and legendary solo artists like Sir Paul McCartney throughout her career.
Now it’s Time to Rock!
In this video, Britt puts the Celestion F12-X200 through its paces. Well, when she gets into the box that is! She loads the F12-X200 speaker into her 1´12 cab and connects it to her Line 6 Helix and Matrix amp. She also places a condenser mic a little further away to better capture the sound.
Watch the video here:
The principal thing she notices is that “it feeds back like a normal guitar amp and speaker would”, even when she plays something a little chunkier. For comparison, she uses a Celestion A-Type speaker though a Lone Star Ch1 amp.
As Britt says (about the A-Type), “If you want to rock old school then this speaker is your ticket!”

The Celestion F12-X200 is capable of delivering the full spectrum of frequency responses from 60 Hz to 20 kHz with truly accurate output. This speaker exhibits a neutral response with its core technology guaranteeing no unwanted colouration overpowering the input signal.
The speaker’s ceramic magnet and 2” voice coil combined with its lower moving mass and lightweight, straighter-sided paper cone delivers all the physical feedback we’ve come to expect from playing through a typical guitar rig. The higher frequency part of the signal is reproduced using a Celestion compression driver which has been integrated using a high quality crossover circuit. This enables the X200 to reproduce the full spectrum of audible frequencies, for the most accurate output possible, whatever your set-up, while still “feeling” like you’re playing through a guitar speaker.
Available to buy from Sweetwater and Thomann – what will you use your Celestion F12-X200 speaker for?
